Is Your Loved One Sending Signs?

We were on a small craft moving slowly under the Italian sun, the water as blue as the sky. As we were beginning our day “sail” off the coast of Capri, I was thinking how much my Dad would love this trip to Italy and especially this moment, as he was an avid boater. Feeling a bit nostalgic and a little sad that he never made it to Italy, I was pleasantly startled to feel him there! The music onboard began to play “My Way,”sung by Frank Sinatra. Here on the Mediterranean Sea, in English, the song my brother chose for my Dad’s Memorial blared from the boats’ speakers just as I was “talking” with my Dad.

Coincidence? Perhaps. Perhaps, not. I believe that coincidences are a gift and I try to stay aware of the “signs”. Author and pioneer of Active Dreaming, Robert Moss, tells us, “The world is a forest of symbols. Thoughts and actions produce effects.”

What symbols have you seen?

If your intuition tells you that something you have seen, heard, or sensed is a sign from your loved one, you have a choice. You can wave it off as “coincidence” or wishful thinking. Or you can trust your instincts are right and acknowledge your loved one with gratitude for letting you know they are thinking of you! The more you honor the symbols (and the efforts of your loved one) and accept the “coincidences,” the more you will have these experiences and find it easier to trust your intuition.

We do not have to ask for signs, in fact I have found that not asking brings the best signs! Of course, there is no harm in asking for a sign; just do not be specific, let your loved one choose and be prepared to be amazed.

Is your loved one trying to communicate?

These are some signs I have experienced myself: fragrance, birds, music, butterflies, hearts in nature, lights flickering, and dream visits.

Clients and friends have reported: feathers, pennies, animals, billboards, bummer stickers, rainbows, songs on the radio or in the market, to mention a few.

To know our loved ones draw close sending their love reminds us that Love does not end with the physical death, and that our Loved ones are not “lost” but as close to us as the edge of a leaf.
