Preparing for your session can help you feel more relaxed, open, and ready to receive the experience. Below are a few simple suggestions to help you make the most of your reading.

1. Choose a Quiet, Comfortable Space

Plan to be in a peaceful place where you can relax and will not be interrupted. A calm environment helps you stay present and focused during the session.

2. Set Your Intention

Take a moment before the reading to center yourself. If you hope to hear from a particular loved one, quietly invite them to be present.

While I cannot guarantee who comes through, your intention can be a meaningful part of the process. Spirit communication unfolds in its own way.

3. Reflect on What You’d Like to Explore

Spend a little time considering what you would like to know, understand, or discuss. You may have questions, or simply a desire for connection, reassurance, or healing.

4. Allow the Reading to Unfold Naturally

It is not necessary—and often not helpful—to share too much information with me beforehand.

What is most helpful is your honest feedback during the session, such as:

  • Yes

  • No

  • I don’t know

This helps acknowledge the spirit communicator and supports the flow of meaningful information.

5. Remember It Is a Shared Process

A reading is a partnership between you, the spirit communicator, and the medium.

Spirit often communicates through symbols, memories, phrases, emotions, and images. Together, we interpret these messages in ways that are meaningful to you.

6. Take Notes or Record the Session

Come prepared to take notes or record the reading, if permitted.

Many clients find that messages continue to make sense after the session has ended. What may feel unclear in the moment can often become very meaningful later, once you’ve had time to reflect.

7. If You Feel Nervous, That Is Normal

Many people feel a little nervous before their first reading. This is completely natural.

Take a deep breath, relax, and trust the process. Your loved ones often wish to connect with you just as much as you wish to hear from them.
